Visit of the Engineer from Telenor

The main technical event in this period was transition to new satellite provider Telenor . Representative of Telenor Engineer Michael Spisiak visited Dushanbe. Unfortunately we have some problems with new satellite provider. At present the connection is operating well.
The main technical event in this period was transition to new satellite provider Telenor . Representative of Telenor Engineer Michael Spisiak visited Dushanbe. Unfortunately we have some problems with new satellite provider. At present the connection is operating well.
With the target to improve the quality of service in the frame of «Silk» project, ther was realized transfer to the new satellite NSS-8 from Telenor.
From 4.01.07 up to 8.01.07, representative of Telenor visited Dushanbe, rendered assistance to ТАRENA’s technical staff in installation of the new transmitter-receiver equipment and make connection better:
- M1640-08-36-N-06-07-U waveguide,
- 1107HCN Norsat LNB,
- WS-C2950-12 Cisco 12 port switch,
- WX 100C Juniper WX 100C
- NTC/11130 Newtec receiver
- 137145-048004 Terrasat frequency converter
- IFU-IX4XxNxxx Terrasat IFU+mounting bracket
Following the project, data receive rate is essentially increasing, so it is planned to conduct video conference with all ”Silk” countries: Tajikistan, Georgia, Armenia, Turkmenia, Kyrgizstan, Kazakhstan, Afghanistan. Using the new satellite will lead to extension of ТАRENA network, also to improve the quality of service all over the Republic.
