Tajik Academic, Research and Education Networks Association (TARENA, www.tarena.tj) is planning to hold regional conference on "Implementation ICT for reduction of disasters outcomes in Central Asian region". It is planned to hold the Conference on June 10-11, 2008 in Dushanbe Tajikistan.

Here are the principle target directions for this conference:
1.      Creating regional information network for seismology monitoring.
2.      Creating regional information network for disaster monitoring.
3.      Creating regional information database on disasters.
4.      Modern methods of evaluation outcomes of disasters.
5.      Development and future perspective of regional system on
        reduction disasters' outcomes and its integration into global system.
For the moment Organization committee (OC) of conference is preparing ADVANCED NETWORKING WORKSHOP Grant (NWG) proposal for NATO Science committee and other potential sponsors. According to requirements of NATO SC Grant should be applied by two co-directors; one of them should be from partner country - in our case it's Tajikistan and other one from some European country.
