Silk/OCCASION Board meetings (SB 17/OB8) were held from Monday April 14  12.00 to Thursday April 17 18.00 in Almaty in Kazakhstan. Professor Sadykov Kh. R. presented TARENA there. The following meetings were conducted:

     Tuesday            All day         April 15   -  Silk/OCCASION Board

     Wednesday    am         April 16   -  OCCASION & EC Initiative

     Wednesday    pm         April 16   -  Excursion

     Thursday           am         April 17   -  Technical - Network

     Thursday           pm         April 17   -  Technical - Terminals

The Silk Board was attended by representatives of the EC Country Delegation; The results of the study sponsored by the EC were presented during the Silk Board; The OCCASION meeting was the last full project meeting. The Thursday technical meeting was considered both activities concerned with the satellite and with the VoIP and video-telephony deployment.

The formal SB/OB dinner was held on the evening of Tuesday April 15. All the guests were invited to both the dinner and the excursion.
