TARENA conducts preparation for the International Net workshop “The
impact of ICT on Reduction of Disaster outcomes in Central Asia”. The Workshop
will take place from April 29 to May 1 2009 in Hotel Tajikistan.
The basic goal of the conference is generalization
of world experience and creation on its basis a regional information network
and database of disasters for their risk reduction, also creation of the
necessary prerequisites for drawing up the Map of Risks in Central Asia region
and establishing contacts with all scientists of the CA region and other
countries world wide.
The following items are planned to be considered
during the work of the conference:
- Creation of
Seismological monitoring information network
- Creation of Disaster monitoring information
network.
- Creation of a regional information database on
disaster.
- Modern methods for an estimation of disaster
damage.
- Development prospect of the regional
information system for disaster risk reduction and its integration into global
system.
